Zoe Laurin was born in Taiwan and moved to Canada as a young girl with her family. An early affinity for mathematics eventually led her to graduate school in the United States. She attained her Master’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education at Indiana State University, receiving her teacher’s license upon graduation.

She spent the following year teaching in an American high school, before moving back to Canada and beginning her career at HTS in 2006. Zoe is committed to creating a learning environment in which students are encouraged to stretch themselves beyond their abilities, with many opportunities to feel that they have overcome a new challenge successfully.
